Richard Johnson, Mayor
On behalf of the Board of Aldermen and the residents of
Waynesboro, I would like to welcome you to the City of
Waynesboro and its website. During my first term as Mayor of
Waynesboro, my administration has worked tirelessly to promote
a positive image of Waynesboro, increase community involvement
and present a willing and able "can do" spirit for new businesses
and the growth of existing companies. With your help and support,
our city can continue to be a role model for Southern rural
communities.I hope this site is informative and exciting. In it, you
will find the important information you need — whether you are a
resident, business owner, or visitor. There is valuable information
regarding the departments throughout the city, lists of elected
officials and contact information for various departments. As you
look at the structure of our city, you will see that it is YOU, the
resident, who is at the center of that structure. Without you, there is
no community. And this is just the beginning. As we continue to
grow and prosper as a community, you will see even more
community-oriented programs, and I hope you will take advantage
of the current programs and the ones to come in the future.
Everything this administration is doing is geared toward putting
together a complete, positive experience for residents that
nurtures business growth, development of a top-notch quality of
life and enhances the way of life for all our residents, businesses
and visitors. I want to thank you for your continuing support of this
administration, and for working with us to keep Waynesboro safe
and growing. With the new businesses slated for Waynesboro
and the various activities being planned for the community, I know
our city will continue to thrive and prosper. Thank you again for
visiting the City of  Waynesboro website.

Sincerely,
Mayor Richard Johnson
